A message from our Directors
Fruit of the Spirit: Joy
Joy is a deep, lasting gladness that comes from knowing God, not just from our circumstances. Unlike temporary happiness, true joy remains even during life’s challenges. It is a gift from the Holy Spirit that fills our hearts with hope and peace. In our families, joy grows when we focus on gratitude, celebrate blessings big and small, and trust in God’s goodness together. Smiles, laughter, and shared memories become signs of God’s presence in our homes. Let’s nurture joy daily, remembering that the joy of the Lord is our strength and a light in every season.
'Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.'
— Romans 12:12
Weekly Memory Verse
Week 3 Memory Verse

Learning Highlights
Pre-Kindy Learning
Learning About Emotions
Over the past few weeks, the children in the Pre-Kindy Room explored emotional regulation through face matching, emotion sorting, and reading The Colour Monster story. They discussed feelings like anger, calm, happiness, sadness, and fear, learning to recognise and name emotions in themselves and others. These activities support EYLF Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity, as they build emotional awareness, empathy, and social skills.

|
Sheets - If your child likes a sheet over them (most toddler and pre-kindy children) please pack 2 cot sized sheets. If you'd like to leave these at the centre for the week and take them home on your child's last day for the week please place sheets in a named bag and we'll store them at the centre for the week.
|
Lunchboxes - Working out how much food to send in a lunch box can be a difficult task. We are finding many children have too much food in their lunchbox which can sometimes cause children to be overwhelmed with where to begin. Uneaten food will always be sent home so if you are finding your child's lunchbox is coming home with lots of food uneaten you may decide to send a little less in future. What food to send? A variety of whole food options while trying to avoid too much packaged and/or highly processed foods is a good place to start.
|
Some examples:
|
Fruit/veg: Carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, apple, berries, capsicum, cherry tomatoes (cut), grapes (cut), green beans
|
Protein: Boiled egg, chicken, rissoles, ham, meat balls
|
Dairy: Yoghurt, cheese slices/sticks
|
Other: Pizza scrolls, sandwiches, mini quiche, corn fritters, crackers and cheese, savory muffins, bliss balls
|
Each week during cooking experiences children will be making a variety of recipes and a lot of these will be lunch box friendly. Please check the newsletter each week for the recipe. This week the children have made a special Mother's Day gift so the recipe hasn't been attached.

Parent Resources & Information
Shop small and local
When you shop at small, locally owned businesses, you’re not only making an eco-friendly decision, but one that’s great for your local community. When you purchase at small locally owned businesses rather than nationally owned, more money is kept in your community because locally-owned businesses often purchase from other local businesses, service providers,
and farms. Purchasing local helps grow other businesses as well.
You may even be able to find a local farm near you that allows you to pick your own produce. It’s a fun day out and helps children make connections between the food on their table and where it comes from.
