Our Program
Our aim is to create a caring, positive community and a play-based, experience-rich learning environment where your child feels comfortable, accepted, and secure.
Our Early Learning curriculum is based on 'The Early Years Learning Framework', with the kindergarten children using the concurrent curriculum 'Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline' developed by the QLD Studies Authority.
No one aspect of the curriculum stands alone, but all learning areas are integrated to cater to each child physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually; and to encompass the different cultural and family backgrounds which each child brings.
At the ELC, we embrace an inquiry-based learning philosophy that nurtures each child’s natural curiosity and love of discovery. Through questioning, exploring, and reflecting, children become active participants in their learning. Our educators guide and support this process, developing a lifelong love of learning. A qualified sports teacher facilitates weekly gross motor activities, supporting children’s physical development, coordination, confidence, and wellbeing.

Incursions @ CCC
|
Children enjoy incursions to the big school, exploring the library, attending chapel, and building familiarity.

Ready, Set, PREP
CCC offers a wonderful program that assists Kindergarten children and their families with the transition to Prep at CCC.
Children enrolled at the CCC Early Learning Centre (ELC) have the opportunity to participate in weekly specialist lessons facilitated by College staff, as well as access to the College Library. In addition to the specialist lessons, CCC ELC children also attend College Chapel and have regular visits from the College Prep teachers throughout Term 4.
