Bush Kindy @ the ELC
Bush Kindy is a fantastic opportunity for children to slow down, connect deeply with God’s world, and grow as confident, capable learners through authentic, nature-rich experiences that nurture body, mind, and spirit.
Bush Kindy at our Early Learning Centre is a much-loved part of our program, offering children the chance to explore, play, and learn in our beautiful 4-acre Nature Space. Surrounded by trees, open space, and natural elements, children are free to climb, dig, build, observe wildlife, and engage in meaningful, unstructured play that fosters curiosity and wonder.
Spending time in nature helps children develop physical skills, resilience, and a deep sense of wellbeing. It also supports social skills like cooperation and problem-solving as children navigate challenges and explore together. Bush Kindy allows children to experience God’s creation firsthand—encouraging a sense of awe, care, and responsibility for the world around them.
This approach aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework by promoting a strong sense of identity, connection to the environment, and learning through active exploration.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
