A Message From Our Director
Grow With Us
At CCC ELC, we believe that strong partnerships with families and our wider community help children thrive. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. When we work together — sharing information, goals, cultural traditions and insights — we create a consistent and supportive learning environment for your child. This allows us to:
-
Better understand your child’s strengths, interests and needs
-
Support smooth transitions between home and ELC
-
Build children’s confidence and sense of belonging
-
Ensure our program reflects your family’s values and culture
Connecting with our wider community also enriches children’s learning. Whether through College events, or local guest speakers, children develop a stronger sense of identity and belonging within the world around them.
Community engagement helps children:
-
Build social confidence
-
Understand their place within a broader community
-
Experience real-world learning opportunities
We invite our ELC families to get involved by:
-
Sharing feedback and ideas
-
Contributing to program experiences
-
Participating in events and special days
-
Communicating regularly with educators
When families, educators and the community work together, children benefit from a consistent, caring and connected environment that supports their wellbeing and development. Thank you for partnering with us — we truly value your involvement.

Interesting Learning
Year 5 Students Buddies
Blooms Room has been very excited to begin our buddy partnership with the CCC Year 5 students! This special connection has already created beautiful opportunities for shared learning, leadership and friendship across age groups.
During our first visit, we walked to the Year 5 classroom where the students warmly welcomed us and read a selection of engaging stories. Our children listened attentively, asked questions and enjoyed the one-on-one attention from their older buddies. It was wonderful to see the Year 5 students confidently using expressive voices and showing such care and patience.
The following week, the Year 5 buddies visited Blooms Room. Our children proudly took on the role of tour guides, showing their buddies around our classroom and outdoor environment. They explained our learning spaces, shared favourite play areas and invited the Year 5 students to join in activities. Together, they engaged in creative play, building experiences and collaborative games.
This buddy program is supporting confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of community. We look forward to continuing to build these meaningful connections throughout the year! 🌿
Parent Resources & Information
Leftovers Stamping
Introduce children to the sensory joy of creative stamping using everyday leftovers! This simple, calming activity supports fine motor development, creativity, and sustainability by transforming food scraps and recycled materials into art tools.
You Will Need:
-
Leftovers such as celery stumps, fruit off-cuts, bubble wrap, or small pieces of cardboard
-
Paint
-
Paper or cardstock
-
A plate or large lid for paint
-
Something to protect your workspace (newspaper or a tablecloth)
What to Do:
Set up a space ready for painting by covering the table and preparing your materials. Pour small amounts of paint onto a plate or lid and spread it slightly to make stamping easy. Laying out all materials within reach helps children work independently and confidently.
Encourage children to dip their leftover items into the paint and press them onto the paper to explore patterns, textures, and shapes. You might like to suggest using warm colours or cool colours together, this helps keep colours vibrant and avoids muddy brown tones. Allow children to experiment freely, noticing how different objects create unique prints. This open-ended approach invites creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving.
A wonderful way to create art, reuse materials, and celebrate creativity together!
